Welcome to How Can You Sing Better?
My name is Nicole and you can read a bit more about my musical background here. I’m hoping you’re here because you want to know whether or not it’s possible for you to sing better, and if so, how you can go about improving your singing voice.
The good news is that over 30 years of musical experience, I can say that I absolutely believe the following two things:
- Every person has the ability to sing.
- Most people have the capacity to significantly improve their singing voice.*
You’ll notice I said that every person can sing, but only most people can improve their singing. I’ll be up front and say right now, if you’re not motivated enough to practice singing regularly, you’re unlikely to improve.
The good news though, is that if you have a willingness to learn, and the discipline to practice, odds are that your singing voice can be improved quite phenomenally. Even dedicating just 10 minutes every day is enough to get you on the road to improving your voice and singing better.
I have created this web site as a result of my experience as a singer, musician and music teacher, and I hope to share with you some of the things I’ve learned along the way. I hope the information on this site will help to motivate and assist pro-active singers who truly want to learn how to improve their singing voice and go on to bigger stages and brighter spotlights.
As long as we live, there is never enough singing. ~Martin Luther
* there are a two groups of people who cannot improve their voice – the first group for physiological or neurological reasons (for example, dysmusia sufferers who cannot discriminate between musical notes of different pitch), and the second group for having no desire or inclination to want to learn how to sing better. If you’re not motivated to practice, you cannot improve!
